Privacy Notice
At Cysgu Sleep Consultancy, we know that sharing details about your child and family is a matter of trust. This notice explains, in plain English, what information we collect, why we need it, how we keep it safe, and the choices you have.Â

Health information (special category data)
Health details are treated as special category data under UK GDPR. We only ask for what is genuinely relevant to your child's sleep, we use it only to support you, and we rely on your explicit consent to process it. You can withdraw that consent at any time, although this may limit the support we can safely offer.
Confidentiality and safeguarding
Everything you share is kept confidential. We never sell your data. We only share it with trusted service providers who help us run the business (such as secure booking, payment or email tools), or where the law requires it. If we believe a child or another person is at risk of serious harm, we may need to share relevant information with the appropriate authorities. Wherever it is safe and appropriate, we will talk to you first.
Secure storage, retention and deletion
Your information is stored using password-protected, secure systems with access limited to Cysgu. We keep client records only for as long as needed to provide support, meet legal and insurance requirements, and handle any queries. After that, we securely delete or anonymise them. Financial records are kept for the period required by UK tax law.
Your rights
- To be told how your data is used.
- To access a copy of the data we hold about you.
- To ask us to correct anything inaccurate or incomplete.
- To ask us to delete your data, where we are not required to keep it.
- To restrict or object to certain uses of your data.
- To data portability, where applicable.
- To withdraw consent at any time.
- To complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.
